THERAPEUTIC YOGA
In my classes, I share what has been shared with me and what I have experienced myself, leading students to connect with their physical bodies and deeper layers, making space to feel and experience deep states of relaxation and calmness, where they can connect with their inner world. My way of teaching is through a conscious and therapeutic approach, combining physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana) and complete relaxation of the body, mind and soul (Yoga Nidra). My style of teaching is influenced by the study of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Anatomy, Satyananda Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Tantra Yoga, Ayurveda, and Transpersonal training.
“Yoga is experienced in that mind which has ceased to identify itself with its vacillating waves of perception.” Patanjali
Structural Yoga Therapy adapts Yoga to the client’s unique needs. It respects the body’s innate capacity to recognize safe movement and healing.
The goal of yoga therapy is to alleviate symptoms and to address the root causes of any imbalances or health issues. It aims to restore balance and harmony within the body, mind, and spirit, leading to a state of overall well-being. By integrating various tools and techniques, yoga therapy provides a holistic approach to healing that goes beyond just physical exercise.
This therapy offers bodywork (Asana), breathwork (Pranayama), mudras, mantras, visualization and deeply relaxing and meditative techniques.
Main intention of Tantra Yoga is a connection with our inner essence and wisdom of our body leading us to a deeper understanding of women’s health and cyclicality which is connected to the mother earth and to the outer and inner seasons – spring (pre ovulation), summer (ovulation), autumn (pre menstruation), winter (menstruation). It’s powerful and effective methods are helping women to go through a difficult times of their cyclical life from the beginning of menstruation (menarche), sexuality, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum to the time of menopause. This therapy begins with a consultation and is followed by practices of Tantra Yoga – bodywork, pelvic floor exploration, breathwork, energy work, relaxation and meditation techniques. Massage and diet suggestions are often part of this therapy.
